Day 1 is off to a good start. We had formal introductions and exchanged gifts this morning. Both teams are hard at work refining presentation content. They're performing well not only in the breakout room strategically but also at lunchtime Karaoke (a day #1 tradition for this program as an icebreaker). Great breakfast and lunch and weather is downright balmy in mid 30's compared with Boston.
We are here in Beijing, after (fortunately) an uneventful day.
a) All of the connections were smooth, and with the exception of the tug getting stuck in the ice on Newark's tarmac. All luggage arrived, too. b) My client came to the airport and we're now safely in the hotel. c) Just had a great dinner with the students at a local restaurant. $12 / person, including drinks d) On a lighter note, we saw Dennis Rodman in the Beijing airport, most likely in transit from a recent trip to Pyongyang to train the basketball team. Slow Internet but I'll try to post as often as I can. We're off to work tomorrow. We are at Logan bright and early, but unfortunately the terminal is packed due to Thursday's blizzard. Never seen so many people at 5:30 am. Students all on time, though. Go Eagles! |
